Illuminate is a projection installation created by local and international artists that celebrates our citizens and history. The projection can be seen Wednesday through Thursday from dusk to 11pm on the north side of the Illinois State Museum, Lockport Campus.

The Artists
Eric Scott Fisher
Eric Scott Fisher studied film and video at Columbia College Chicago, learning to shoot and edit on 16mm film. He has freelanced as an illustrator (illustrating over 50 books for young readers), graphic designer, animator and filmmaker. His films Broken Words, Reign of the Umbrella Men and Electric Sermon have played in film festivals across the United States and won awards at the American Documentary and Animation Festival and the Santa Barbara Fine Arts Festival, played in art galleries and as special exhibits. He works in traditional and digital media, often combining both.

Liviu Pasare
Liviu has a Chicago based practice creating works and visual experiences using new media and technology. He works as a video designer, cinematographer, editor, animator and has produced, directed and performed for live multimedia experiences. He has been affiliated with theaters and artists such as Collaboraction, Victory Gardens, Teatro Vista, Chicago Children’s Theater, Blue Man Group, Redmoon, Adventure Stage, The Seldoms, Lucky Plush, Luftwerk, Claudia Hart, Nick Cave, Bob Faust, among many others.
